Long Time No Post

So,... It's been a long time since our last post. We are still in Idaho Falls and at the same place, but we've recently had an addition to our little family.
At 9:38 AM on November 25, 2010, Wyatt Gary Love was born.
He weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.

He was so excited to come be in our family that he came a month early.

The week prior to Wyatt's arrival was the worst series of snowstorms anyone could remember for the last 30 years. We were snowed into our house and had to ask a neighbor to plow the drive way. We fled to Tiff's parent's house within the city limits of Idaho Falls. We had to stay there for three days. Wyatt decided to come the day after we finally got to come home. Here are some pictures of our drive way after being plowed twice in the same day!!

Since then, we have adjusted to life with three kids. We wanted to post a few pictures of the past year. More posts to follow (probably).

Christmas 2009

This is Christmas at our new house. I think all of you know that we moved back to Idaho Falls after Jeremy was laid off from Micron and 6 months of searching for work. He is now with the INL. It feels good to be here, although we miss our friends and the Boise area. We were able to move in to our house on the 22nd of December. It was a little crazy, but it felt good to be "home." The kids (especially) McKinna loved being in our "new house" for Christmas.
I haven't posted anything for awhile so more pictures are coming.

9 Months

Jamison has been crawling all over for the past 6 weeks. He also pulls himself to standing. He is such a boy. He already goes for his sisters hair, face, ears etc just to get her attention and I think to annoy her. He is still such a happy and good-natured boy. He always has a smile for mom, sister and dad and usually any strangers that smile at him.

My Mom, Dad, and sister Teri took a trip up to Yellowstone Park for a day while we were visiting Daddy in Idaho Falls while he's working. Grandma bought this hat for her and she wouldn't take it off.

McKinna really enjoyed playing with Cannon over the Independance Day weekend. She asked if he could come back and play for several days after he left.

McKinna loves that all of us have "Bronco Stuff."

McKinna has always been such a water baby. She will pour cold water on her head and laugh. We got her a small pool and she loves to sit with mommy in it and sing songs.

McKinna has been such a big helper since Jamison joined our family. She likes to help cook and clean. Even though it takes longer for mommy I know that it makes her happy to help.

Jamison is wanting to be such a big boy already. He loves this toy because he sees and hears McKinna play with it often.

He has taken to cereal really well. He just likes to eat in general.

Jamison is all over the floor and loves to use his voice. He still is such a happy and smiley baby. McKinna loves to make him laugh.

Jamison is doing so well. He giggles and smiles so much. He is such a content baby. This month he learned to roll over, grab his feet, grab his toys, blanket and binkie, and holds his head up with little to no wobbles. He has been such a pleasant baby. We love having him here.

McKinna turned 3 on April 13. We had a yellow party and invited a few friends. I can't believe she's 3 already. She is acting so big.
She still loves her little brother and kisses and "zurburts" him. She wants him to do more so he can play but she is being patient.

Jamison turned 3 months on Monday March 30. I can't believe how fast it went. McKinna is still so sweet with her brother. Now that he smiles and is a little more active, she enjoys having him around even more. Jamison is such a happy baby. He smiles so often and has started to giggle in the past few weeks. Jeremy and I are so happy to have such great kids.

McKinna was sleeping in the toddler version of the crib we bought her. Since Jamison will be out of our room soon and will need the crib, we got her a new "Princess bed". We were a little worried about the change, but as you can see she is very happy.

I think McKinna enjoyed this more than Jamison. He does seem to like having a little more room. He gets stuck sometimes in his bassinet. Just a few more weeks and this will be his permanent sleeping space. It makes me sad that he's growing so fast but excited that Jeremy will have our room back... sort of.

Jamison's Blessing

He looked so sweet and I couldn't believe we got this great of a picture. On her blessing day, McKinna was asleep for most of her photos.

McKinna had to be included in the photo shoot of Jamison. She wanted her picture taken on the blanket with him. She was trying to look like Jamison, hence the "far off look".

Proud Parents

This is our first family portrait. I realized we didn't have one, even from the hospital. It's weird how much you forget when it's your second child.

It was so fun having both of our families come up for the blessing. McKinna has been in heaven with all the people coming to "play with her." I've (and Jeremy too) have been so happy with her adjustment to adding a new brother. We have been blessed.

Life at Home with Two Kids

Well, a month has passed and we are settling into life with two kids. We were worried that McKinna would resent Jamison for taking up our time, but she loves him and can't walk past without kissing him on the forehead. She did see that he received lots of presents and new clothes. So, she decided to try on some of his clothes.

McKinna does do some sweet things for Jamison. I (Jeremy) had the kids alone and went upstairs to grab something. When I got downstairs I found that McKinna had given Jamison his stuffed animals for company while I was away.

Our Newest Addition

At 1:30 AM on Tuesday December 30th, Tiffany's water broke and we dashed off to the hospital. At 3:48 AM, Jamison Jeremy Love was born (for those reading between the lines that means Tiffany didn't have time for an epidural). I have never been so impressed by my wife she is amazing. The nurses kept saying how great she was and were surprised that she was smiling and upbeat in between contractions and after the delivery. The recovery floor was packed (many people scheduled their inductions to get the tax benefit). We found out that Tiffany's recovery room is typically reserved for convicts with locks on the doors and a small outer room for the guard. Tiffany is recovering nicely and Jamison is getting cuter every day. Here are a few pictures of our bouncing baby boy.

McKinna was excited to see her baby brother. She told us she loves him and wants to hold him for as long as she can sit still. We are very blessed to have two wonderful children.

Tiff was singing "Santa Baby" while playing with McKinna and me the other night. Later on McKinna reprised the song and added a little hip action. We had to take video the second time she did it because I was laughing so hard the first time. Hope you enjoy this as much as we did.

McKinna has been very excited about Christmas this year. She loves the Santa hat and stockings. The other day I was singing "Santa Baby" to her and Jeremy and ever since then she likes to put the hat on, put her hands on her hips and wiggle back and forth just singing "santa baby" over and over. She is so fun. The tree has been a little bit of a distraction for her this year. Last year she didn't take the ornaments off but this year she does. I think she likes to redecorate.

Well this is me at 34 weeks. I'm almost 36 weeks now and I'm so ready to have our baby here. Both because I want to be done and because I want to see his cute face. McKinna got to see him move the other day. I think it was the first time that she really understood that I had a baby in my belly. She puts her mouth to my belly and says "Hi Jamison Whata doing?" I'm excited to see how she does.

Sesame Street Fun

Jeremy won 4 tickets to Sesame Street Live on the radio. We took McKinna's friend Mya Oakes with us. The girls loved it. We got really good seats on the floor so the characters were really close. It was so fun for Jeremy and I too, mainly because the girls were so involved.

We had our ultrasound today. The baby looks really healthy. The nurse asked me to come back in a couple weeks to get better shots of the heart and spine. The baby was really wiggly. We almost didn't see what the sex was because the cord was in the way and the baby didn't want to move its legs. The nurse was really sweet and told us she would look again after I saw my doctor. The second time the baby wasn't shy. We are having a little boy! We are really excited. McKinna said "yay it's a boy" (with daddy's help of course). She still is a little confused by it all, but she likes to say hi to my belly and asks the baby if he is sleeping.
We are going to name him Jamison Jeremy Love. We had a couple others picked out, but that seems to be the one we keep going back to. Anyway, we're really happy and now I feel like I can shop!

McKinna is Potty Trained!!

The end of July I decided I was ready to train McKinna on the potty. She had been ready for a couple of months but I was having a lot of sickness with my pregnancy. We started on a wednesday and by Saturday she was telling me she had to go potty and by Sunday she wasn't having any accidents. It surprised the crap out of me because I expected a couple of weeks of accidents. I'm so proud of her and how well she did. My mom says not to expect all of my kids to be that easy. I will be grateful. Here's a pic with her new panties (which are too big, but they don't sell them in 24 month sizes for my skinny girl).

Careless smoking is the likely cause of a fire that destroyed a Kuna
apartment, displaced 17 residents and sent one woman to the hospital
Saturday morning.
The fire, reported at 8:52 a.m., Saturday, July 28, at 855 White Barn
Road, started in a cardboard box of newspapers on the second-story
patio, said Kuna Fire Chief Doug Rosin.
Jeremy Love was asleep in the apartment next door on the second story
at 859 White Barn, when he heard people shouting and running down the
stairs then fuses popping in the fuse box.
He opened his front door to see thick black smoke.
“It was pretty scary,” said Love, a Micron worker who has lived in Kuna
for the past year with his wife and 16-month-old daughter. “It was
rolling black smoke when we got out.”
Love shouted to his wife to grab their baby and get out. “I wish I had
gotten my shoes, though,” said Love.
One woman, who lived in the apartment at 855 White Barn, was taken to
the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. She was treated and
released. Two people who lived in the apartment with her declined to
comment.
The White Barn apartments are a group of nine fourplexes located next
to the Kuna Fire Station at the corner of Boise Street and Linder
Avenue. Kuna Fire Capt. John Charlton was sitting at the station’s
front desk facing the apartments when he saw the smoke. Kuna
firefighters began their response before the call even came into 911.
The apartment at 855 White Barn was destroyed, the apartment at 859
White Barn had considerable smoke damage, the first-floor apartment at
847 had major water damage, and the first-floor apartment at 851 was
virtually untouched, said Pete Trammell, who manages the property for
the building’s owner. Each of the nine buildings has a different owner,
Trammell said. He said on Monday that insurance investigators would
assess the situation and determine what to do with the building.
Tray Belveal, who lives at 815 White Barn in a neighboring fourplex,
was one of the first people to see the fire.
“I just came out to my back patio to have my coffee and there it was,”
Belveal said. “Whoa! I got my shoes on and came out here and started
banging on doors to get people out. It freaked me out. Two tours in
Iraq, and I’ve seen all the fire I want to see.”
Four adults and two children were in the upstairs apartment at the time
of the fire, Rosin said. One cat died in the fire.
Trammell said the White Barn apartments, all fourplexes, were built in
2001 and 2002. The four apartments in the building that burned were all
three-bedroom units and have smoke alarms that are connected, meaning
if one goes off, they all go off. Fire sprinklers were not required in
these buildings, Trammell said.
Trammell said the residents who live directly under the apartment that
burned were about to move in. The carpets had been cleaned on Thursday,
and the residents had just started moving in their furniture and some
boxes Friday night, just hours before the fire. One of the residents of
that apartment declined to comment.
Jeremy Love said any loss to his family’s belongings would be covered
by renter’s insurance. “Best 18 bucks I ever spent,” he said. His
family has relatives in Kuna and Jeremy expected to stay with them.
Sheri Russell of the Kuna Disaster Fund was at the scene of the fire
helping displaced residents.
In addition to two firefighting units from Kuna, including the
department’s new ladder truck that put out the fire from above,
Meridian Fire Department sent one unit to assist.

So, it's been a really long time.... We got "burned" out of Kuna in July 2007 thanks to someone using a box of newspapers as an ashtray. We are now in Nampa and Jeremy says we'll post the whole story later. In the meantime, here are some updated pics.

Our First Family Camping Trip

We went camping at the Darby Girls Camp for a Rasmussen Family Reunion over the Fourth of July Weekend. Marilyn and Gary were called as the caretakers of the camp and invited the clan up for a fun weekend. We spent most of our time catching up with Tiff’s family and introducing McKinna to her cousins. Jeremy had never been to the camp and enjoyed the slide. Because we were there on Sunday, we had sacrament meeting at the lodge. McKinna decided to relieve herself of gas and excess waste during the first testimony. It echoed throughout the room helping to break the ice. The meeting continued with a sweet spirit as testimonies were shared. It was a meeting that will not be forgotten by those who attended. We were so happy to have been a part of this reunion and to enjoy reacquainting ourselves with family that we don’t get to see very often.

We Made It!

Sorry this post is a bit late in coming. We made it. We moved-in officially on July 8th. It took two and a half hours to load the truck and only thirty minutes to unload. The new apartment is great. McKinna has her own room and all three of us are sleeping better. It took another week to get the apartment looking right, but we now are out of boxes and have almost finished setting up the spare bedroom/computer room. Hooray for a bigger house. Jeremy is going to start a new job and is happy to say goodbye to Macy's. This job is not in his field, but he has opportunities to advance with this company. (The better pay and benefits they offer doesn't hurt in swaying him to accept.) Tiffany is working part-time, while her sister watches McKinna. They will be trading baby-sitting when the fall semester begins again. All in all everything is going well.

Hello Out There

We figured we should stop dragging our feet and start posting. What better way to start than by showing a picture of our little family. Here we are on McKinna's Blessing day. It was so great to have so many of our friends and family around for this special occasion. It is hard to believe that this picture is already two months old. McKinna is giggling and growing big. She likes to stand (with Mom or Dad holding her) and look around. She is a happy baby and loves to smile at new friends. She has learned to roll over. She is learning that Dad is a sucker for her smile and will do whatever she wants when he gets a smile for his troubles. Mom can be bought for a smile as well, but is better about spoiling the baby. We are all staying very busy. Besides the move, Mom (Tiffany) has reluctantly returned to work part-time, while Dad (Jeremy) continues to work in retail and look for another job. McKinna spends her day alternating between tired, hungry, and needing a diaper change. McKinna is good about letting Momma and Daddy get five to six hours of sleep a night. She is truly an angel. We are currently moving to a three-bedroom apartment in a suburb of Boise. It has two bathrooms and a washer and dryer. We had to act fast or the apartment would be rented to another couple. We signed the lease and set the move-in date for two weeks later. We are down to two days to the move-in date and still have half of the apartment to pack. Jeremy is just happy we hired someone to move the piano. More will come after the move. Well, better go time to pack up the computer.
